Description. This application, called STSW-LINK007, is used to upgrade the firmware of the ST-LINK, ST-LINK/V2 and ST-LINK/V2-1 boards through the USB port. 3/7/2018 · 1. I have some strange behaviour of my STLINK V2 when I just plug it in the USB port and then open the STLINK Utility tool. When I then go to settings it finds the STLINK V2, but after about 5s the program seems to hang and the serial number disappears and it says Old ST -LINK firmware / ST -LINK already used .
6/1/2019 · I can use “STM32 ST -Link Utility ” to connect with target (then the LED on ST -Link is RED) or erase the chip (then the LED keeps blinking RED). In device manager I can see my ST -Link: 1) in USB Controller as Storage Device 2) in Disk Drive as STM32 drive 3) in Portable Devices as F: drive – I can see it also in “my computer” as 30MB SD Card.

1/6/2013 · The key which is used to encrypt the firmware again is actually (possibly) dynamic. When the firmware updater first starts, it communicates with the ST -Link/V2 chip and sends the command 0xF3 0x08. The chip then responds back with 20 bytes of data. The first 4 and last 12 bytes are then encrypted with the key best performance.

4/9/2018 · The ST Link is shown in the Settings section at the ST Link utility (utility shows that the Link has an old firmware version but it should work fine, I tried to update the ST Link but it failed). By trying to connect the ST Link and the Vesc, ST Link utility shows an error message saying there is no device connected or something.
1/19/2018 · When I simply go into ST -Link Utility in Target->settings on first run I see the programmer, but after click on Refresh, it freeze for a while and then it show OLD ST -Link Firmware/ ST -Link already used . If I downgrade to V2.J19 everything seems OK :/ I have two programmers with F101 and F102 MCU, both do it. I tried also flash the unlocked bootloader into the F101 and still the same.
